Buy your supplies from reputable retailers with the guidance of your instructor. I cannot tell you how many people have appeared for lessons
with E-bay junk and been very disappointed to learn that their practice chanter and/or bagpipes are worthless. The people that sell that junk
have destroyed the piping aspirations of many, many prospective pipers. Do not buy anything without knowledgeable guidance! By the
way, you don't learn to play bagpipes by playing bagpipes. You won't need a set of pipes until you have some definite proficiency on a quality
practice chanter. Even if you're extremely wealthy, you'll be wasting money to run out and spend on items you don't yet need . Take it a step
at a time. Spend your money on a competent instructor who will save you in the long run. Piping and the associated culture is
FUN! Don't let some shady seller of junk ruin it for you!
